The award-winning chef Charles Demanuele has dedicated over 30 years of his career to successfully being one of the biggest names in Malta's restaurant scene... and he is opening a new restaurant.
Unfortunately, I had just missed the opportunity to try his (what I heard was exemplary) Pintonino Restaurant in Valletta's waterfront before it permanently closed down (as I was a newbie to Malta), but fortunately for all of us epicureans, his brand new eatery is set to open around the beginning of December 2019.
Charles Pintonino will also be located in Valletta and will also specialise in antipasto plates focusing mainly on crudo, seafood or fish... but without forgetting homemade pasta and meat dishes too.
The new restaurant will don sleek and modern interiors with a seating capacity of 56 and a lush private dining room fitting 12 guests.
The a la carte menu is still in progress for the time being as Charles is busy working on the wine menu (boasting around 300 vinos). However, you can expect the Marine Plankton (his specially made green risotto) that has even attracted two-Michelin-starred chef Pino Cuttaia, Pintonino Misto, his infamous crudo and a risotto with sea anemones.
See you in December Charles Pintonino!
