COLOMBIAN CUISINE AND COLOURFUL PUB VIBES COMING SOON IN GZIRA

I think my readers will know my loyalty to true ethnic cuisine and small independent food joints I see fit for this site. I live for discovering and announcing them, just like this flawless gyoza gem in Ghargur, the Ethiopian eatery in Gzira, a new Russian deli and many more before that. That's what I do out of pure passion.

Well guess what? Latin American cuisine is on its way housed in a unique concept pub donning a bar with Irish vibes serving craft beers and cocktails.

Opening in Gzira and run by Colombian owners, The Red Parrot (named after an Amazonian bird which shares the same colours as their country's flag) will offer classic dishes from Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico. Expect beef empanadas, chicken arepas, plantain croquettes (with shrimp cocktail or guac on the side), and Peruvian ceviche.

Some of the main dishes will come in the form of a cazuela bowl (with beans, plantain, avocado, chorizo and pork bites), a seafood cazuela (made with a coconut milk base) and quesadillas.

The Red Parrot is about to bring some flava to Gzira and I cannot wait. They will be opening for food deliveries in the next two weeks and will be fully operational from March.

NOTE: The feature image is a sneak peek of the unfinished space. Also, information has been researched and gathered by myself personally like most of my articles.
