MALTA'S FIRST JAPANESE BAKERY HAS JUST OPENED AND IT IS TRULY AUTHENTIC

Some of you may know that I lived in Tokyo for a few years before coming to Malta in October 2018 (because I don't shut up about it), and I was obsessed with Japanese pastries. I couldn't hide my excitement when I found out that Malta's first Japanese bakery just opened.

Located in Sliema, The Japanese owners have taken over The Pastry Park and have brought a new concept which specialises in signature baked treats which are exceptionally popular in Japan.

Japanese bakery - Malta

Expect several varieties of melon pan, a crispy yet sweet bread (named due to its resemblance to melon, not actually involving any) with different flavours including strawberry, matcha, plain and more.

They also serve curry pan, a weakness of mine. Picture succulent Japanese curry (with pork and beef) wrapped in a piece of dough, coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried (although here they oven-bake it). No need to picture, wrap your lips aroud one.

Another item I was pleased to see is yakisoba pan. These are hot dog bread stuffed with noodles and meat, so delicious!

The customer service is second to none. I love this place, it truly transported me back to Tokyo!
