THE CHIP SHOP: A TRADITIONAL BRITISH FISH & CHIP SHOP IS OPENING IN BIRKIRKARA

A brand spanking new fish & chip shop is opening in Malta this September in Birkirkara called… The Chip Shop.

Not only is the owner of The Chip Shop, Brett Gaston, a UK Northern lad from Manchester, he has 13 years catering experience, so it’s pretty much a safe bet that you’ll be getting the real deal.

Traditional British style cod & chips (all homemade) are not the only thing on the menu though, you’ll also be able to tuck into scampi & chips, mushy peas, battered sausage, Hollands pudding & pies and more.

I reached out to Brett and he said: ‘Everything is fresh, I have all my equipment being shipped here from the UK to prep it all traditional chip shop style’.

The image you see is what he shot at very short notice exclusively for What’s Cooking Malta in his unfinished kitchen. If that’s the dedication for imagery, imagine the dedication he’ll have for his dishes…
