AN AUTHENTIC AUSTRIAN-GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET IS HEADING TO MALTA FOR THE FIRST TIME
After I left Tokyo and before I moved to Malta, I lived in Germany for six months and I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to celebrate Christmas there... luckily, there'll be a delightful slice of Germany's famous festivities and danke schön for that!
From November 29th, LABRANDA Riviera Hotel & Spa will spread the festive cheer by opening an authentic Austrian-German Christmas market in Malta for the first time.
You can expect traditional food and drinks such as German sausages, spit-roasted meats, roasted chestnuts and pea and würstel soup.
Those with a sweet-tooth can indulge in kaiserschmarrn (a popular Austrian dessert), homemade apple strudel, Xmas stollen and cookies. Mulled wine and hot chocolate will be available to sip on.
Other highlights include handmade gingerbread houses for purchase, local crafts displayed in traditional huts and carol singers.
The market will run every weekend (Friday - Sunday) from Nov 29th - Dec 24th. Opening hours are 2pm-9pm.
