VILLA DEI VENTI: A STUNNING NEW BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN QALA, GOZO
A stunning new boutique hotel opened its doors a few weeks ago in Gozo... and it is definitely one to add to your travel list.
Located atop a cliff in Qala, Villa dei Venti takes inspiration from a typical Gozitan countryside farmhouse.
The rooms are spread over three floors and the stare-worthy interior design is thanks to the award-winning team at DAAA Haus, who have a very prestigious portfolio of hospitality projects all over the island.
To ensure the ultimate boutique and intimate experience, Villa dei Venti only houses 10 rooms which open up to either a veranda, a terrace or a balcony. Expect to find premium mattresses, fluffy pillows, modern rain showers, mini bars and air conditioning.
There are the extended Comfort rooms with a private lounge area, premium Terrace rooms which come with a private pool or jacuzzi and other rooms such as the Comfort rooms, All Access, Grunju, Mill and the Dusk room.
The gourmet restaurant at Villa dei Venti focuses on seasonal dishes and looks like an epicurean's dream. For starters, one can indulge in cauliflower and Jerusalem artichoke soup with fried peppered goats cheese, mafaldine ribeye ragu or a risotto dish with roasted pumpkin puree, burrata, tiger prawns, pistachios and micro herbs, to name a few.
Mains come in the form of fish roulade (with mussel mouse, cauliflower & truffle puree, zucchini crisps), duck breast (with hazelnut crust, red wine jus, chocolate jus, cauliflower steaks) and more. Not to mention some specials.
You can also expect a plethora of carefully-prepared desserts and cocktails.
Facilities at the hotel include an outdoor pool, deck area an al fresco dining, weather permitting.
Rates range from around €120 - €200 depending on which room you opt for!
