MALTA'S ONLY CRAFT BEER AND STREET FOOD FESTIVAL IS BACK AND BIGGER THAN EVER

UPDATED:

Following the huge success of their first event back in June, Taps & Trucks, Malta's first and only street food and craft beer festival, is back on December 8th at the BMX Warehouse 086 in Pembroke. And it's so nice to see that some of my favourite street food vans in Malta will be present.

You can expect a bigger street food and craft beer line-up this time round too. The food offering includes burgers and not-your-regular salads from Sofrito, Asian street food from KuYa, Mexican grub from El Traco, Italian wood-fired pizza from Pepito's, gourmet hot-dogs from Grills on Wheels and fresh mozzarella grub from HiMù. The brand new street food truck Tony's Foods (known for their creative burgers and arancini balls) have also been added to the line up.

To end on a sweet note, grab a whirling chocolate doner kebab by Olie's, waffles oozing with caramel by Strü, as well as fair trade, top-shelf coffee by Coffee Circus.

On the beer front, the focus will again be on kegged craft beer which is quite rare here in Malta. You'll be able to sample some of the world's best and most unique craft beers from established brands such as BrewDog, Brussels Beer Project, Mikkeller, Stone, Founders, Poppels and more.

Small vendor stalls, stunning custom-made motorbikes by Phil Piper from Choppershack, classic cars, a large indoor dining area and a kids-play area will also be on the cards.

I went last year and this family-friendly event was a total blast!
