WHAT'S COOKING MALTA'S SIX-COURSE CHARITY DINNER IN AID OF AUSTRALIA'S WILDFIRES

I have organised a charity dinner to raise funds for Australia's bushfires and I have chosen the organisation Wildlife Victoria

The night on Monday 24th February, (located at Manouche), will start off at 6.30pm with prosecco from Charles Grech and canapés prepared by Chef Jonathan Brincat (Noni Restaurant). Guests will then be seated for a special six-course dinner created by six of Malta's top chefs... and plenty of Marsovin wines.

The legendary Charles Pintonino will be creating the fish course, Rafel Sammut (Briju/Pulled Meat Company) will be in charge of the pasta course, the meat course will be handled by Andrew Vella (Rebekah's), starters from Alain James Grech (The Chef's Table), the intermediate course by Zoran Bogdanovski (Elba Restaurant) and Christian Borg from Ramla Bay Resort with his pastry chef, will be leading the dessert.

Although half of the main menu is vegan, there will be a separate fully vegan six-course menu where the meat, pasta and fish course will be replaced by very fine plant-based alternatives cooked by Christian Borg of Ramla Bay Hotel. Vegan wines sponsored by Charles Grech and MB wine imports will be included.

Both menus will be posted shortly on the Facebook event but expect dishes such as 'angnolotti filled with a liquid pecorino, chicken and rosemary jus', 'spiced fennel in charcoal' and 'braised monkfish and sautéed calamari'.

Magician and illusionist Brian Role will be entertaining guests with his magic tricks throughout the night, Sean Mallia will be capturing some serious photography and Nico Caruana of prestigious The de Mondion will be the restaurant manager.

There will be a raffle on the night with prizes including a two night stay at the new luxury Marriott Hotel & Spa, 100EUR voucher from Shakinah restaurant, 150EUR voucher from Capo Crudo  , 50EUR from Townhouse No3 and more. A big shout out to my other sponsors including Adam's Fish Shop, Brass&Knuckle, Bloom Creative, eCabs, CPS, ECB and www.writemeanything.com.

The price is 55EUR per person which includes canapés, six courses, wine, water and a seriously good time.

To reserve please email info@manouche.com.mt or call them on 2704 1478. Bookings will NOT be confirmed until a 100% deposit is made to Manouche via Revolut or bank transfer (details will be sent via email after booking request).
