CFC x Zwiit Launch a Fried Chicken and Doughnut Hybrid Burger
Look, CFC may not be where I usually end up when I occasionally want fried chicken (not for any particular reason). And yet here we are.
Crispy Flavoured Chicken, one of the island’s most popular fried chicken spots, has teamed up with Zwiit Cravings, one of my go-tos for fresh doughnuts, to create the limited edition Crispy Donut Burger. A crispy chicken fillet, mayo, jam and crispy onions, all inside a doughnut bun.
I know what you’re thinking. It’s not healthy. Yes, another burger. Blah blah blah. Hear me out.
About ten years ago, Krispy Kreme did something similar in London — a glazed donut standing in for the bun, not with chicken but with a beef patty — and it worked. The airiness of the doughnut, the juices of the meat, the whole sweet-salty thing — it worked. It made sense.
