St Paul’s Bay’s restaurant scene has just been upgraded thanks to the addition of Conte of Montecristo, which opens today.
Conte of Montecristo, is inspired by the glamour and sophistication of the Baroque era and of course as the name implies, the book, Count of Montecristo. It resembles something straight out of a period drama or even a theatre set.
The restaurant showcases a number of different art pieces from the 1800s such as an authentic faldstool, a chest and paintings. It also feature an avant garde VIP table decorated in gold and white which truly represents the style of the restaurant. Yes, it's over the top but in the best possible way.
The printed menu offers traditional yet fine dining Italian cuisine and will change on a weekly basis using produce directly imported from Italy. Fish specials may change on the daily. The Italian owners wanted to create something that hasn’t been seen in Malta before.
The state of the art aquarium allows visitors to choose the fresh fish and seafoods that they want on their plate.
It really has to be seen to be believed... and you can conte me in!
