SANTA CRUZ HAVE JUST LAUNCHED A PRETTY LONG VEGAN MENU - GZIRA
Santa Cruz (the meat and tapas focused eatery in Gzira), have officially launched a brand spanking new vegan menu.
They recently hosted an unlimited vegan and vegetarian buffet where the response and feedback was much more positive than I expected, especially from the vegan community (which says a lot).
Dishes on the vegan menu will include junk food such as nachos (topped with marinated mushrooms, tofu, caramelised onion and sage pesto), tacos (with seasoned mushrooms, tofu, crispy onions and chimichurri), the Moving Mountains burger, a falafel and chickpea burger, a vegan hot dog and fried buffalo cauliflower chunks.
The healthier offering consists of carrot & orange soup, almond salad, carrot & fennel salad, quinoa salad and a hearty chickpea stew.
Desserts will come in the form of banana split and a selection of vegan ice creams.
On Wednesday 9th October, they'll be hosting a public tasting event where you can sample all the above, buffet style... for only 18EUR!
Booking is highly recommended and the first three tables (of two people MAX) that reserve quoting 'What's Cooking, Malta?' will get the buffet for free.
