THE CHIPPY VAN: GOZO'S PROPER FISH N CHIPS TRUCK IS COMING TO MALTA
Oh my cod! For the first time ever, The Chippy Van is coming to Malta (in front of Mellieha Bay to be exact) on 30th May from 12pm till late to serve passers-by with their exemplary fish n chips.
If you’re wondering what’s The Chippy Van and why is this so exciting? It’s a food truck based in Gozo that serve proper traditional British fish n chips. I mean, proper and homemade (everything from the batter to the twice cooked chips is made from scratch).
Cheryl and Shaun have managed to achieve what many offering fish n chips in Malta have tried... and failed. The menu also offers scampi & chips, sausage & chips and cod bites.
All you have to do is go on Facebook or TripAdvisor (where they’ve had 40 5* reviews in a row) to see how legit this Yorkshire couple's grub is.
If it proves to be as popular in Mellieha as it is in Gozo, then you can expect them to be parked every Thursday till late (that’s right, not just for the lunch crowd).
