THIS GOURMET VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN BUFFET IS BACK IN VALLETTA'S FOOD MARKET
Their first vegan and vegetarian buffet proved such a success, that Is-Suq Tal-Belt, Malta's popular indoor food market in Valletta, are doing it all over again on November 1st from 7pm. But on a larger scale.
Attendees can expect a very large selection of delectable, fresh and expertly prepared dishes that are vegan (around 25 savoury options) or vegetarian from several stations. This is not your usual buffet.
The Spice Asian Valley station will include veg spring rolls, sweetcorn and spinach samosas, veg gyoza, tempura tofu, chilli fried edamame and vegetable okonomiyaki (Japaense savoury pancake).
These will be supplied with a plethora of sauces including soy sauce, sweet chilli, garlic and coriander relish, ponzu, teriyaki, coconut satay and more.
The two hot buffet stations will fill guests with dishes such as peanut butter cauliflower, yellow Thai curry, teriyaki butternut squash with tempeh, pumpkin and rice pot pies, fried artichokes and baked butternut squash (with feta cheese, pistachio and lemon oil).
Love pasta? The pasta station will involve spinach and artichoke cannelloni, baked gnocchi with minced ragout, and a pasta dish with sage, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli and rucola.
The Spanish station will feed you with rito (Spanish ratatouille), vegetable skewers, tomato with tofu and avocado, grilled portobello mushrooms with onions and garlic and more.
There will also be a live Vietnamese roll station offering fresh spring rolls filled with tofu, mango, cucumber and coriander, a dessert station (with nine vegan sweet treats such as pecan pie and chocolate brownies) and a vegan and vegetarian cheese display.
Tickets are priced at €28 and you'll be able to eat till your heart's content. Live entertainment will be provided on the night.
